Getting Close!!!

Its been a few weeks since the last update. We cant get inside the house so its hard to take photos.
All sinks have been in installed along with shower screens, door handles, door stops, towel rails, Front Render colour applied, Front Door Handle, All electrical fitted off all plumbing fitted off besides the kitchen sink.

We cant be to far off, Laminate timber floors need to be put down, Pantry and robe shelves still need to be installed but I think that's about it. They have a few cosmetic things to fix too and no doubt we will find a few more things on Pre handover with the inspector.

So far its been a fairly good experience but I will say that you need to keep an eye on everything during the build and get a 2nd opinion if you have a hunch that something is not done correctly. We have used a private inspector at 3 stages and he has been worthwhile. I have also picked up numerous things that have been done incorrectly over the build.

Anyway here are the photo's

Retaining wall almost completed

Hi,
After a big day Saturday Laz, Mel and myself completed what we could currently complete with the retaining wall. I'm waiting for the builders to replace their section of wall that is plumb and doesnt have a 5 degree lean as per engineering plans.  Here are the pics

Side fence completed, and more pictures of tiles.

Side fence is now completed in the back yard. They have done a really great job and I'm pretty impressed with there work. Tomorrow is the day to finish off the Retaining wall more pictures to come.

I also have included some pictures of the laundry tiles and some tiles starting around the bath hob and shower. Pretty crappy photos due to having dirty windows. Obviously no grout done yet either.

Retaining wall half completed, Fence going up and Paint completed

It's been a while since i posted but its becuase we cannot get into the house to take photo's. Retaining wall is now half completed and should be completely finished by Sunday. Fence blokes started yesterday and will be finished tomorrow hopefully. Painting has also been completed and a render base coat applied to the facade of the house.

Shower bases have been installed and by the looks of it tiling to come.

Front Render looks good but return on left side does not represent the same distance as the post on the right. This is getting fixed in the next 2 weeks then colour coat applied.
Builder is replacing original retaining wall to meet correct engineering of 5 deg tilt that my wall has.

One of the posts is a bit wonky it has now been repaired.

Bricks completed, Eaves completed and Plaster Sheets in!!!

Bricks have been completed. There has been a little issue with the brick colour under the window sills. We think the Bricky might have been colour blind because they are red not brown. Its been raised,  Henely are looking into it.But no excuse will be good enough for me it needs to be replaced.

Boris has been out to finish the eaves at the front of the house and the alfresco. Great job mate. Always a good thing having a mate on site. He will be back probably in around 3 weeks to install the window arcs and skirting to certain room.

Photo's of the inside just before plaster with the Batt's installed.
Don't Worry Dave, This was taken before I used my own initiative complete the sound batt's in all the spots they forgot. Why they would leave those sections without Batts's is beyond me. There was plenty more places inside the Theatre room that i completed properly too.

Plaster sheets were put up today, Next week they should be all stopped and cornices installed. The following week the cabinets are scheduled to be installed. We seen the cabinet maker on site and had a bit of a chat seems like a nice enough guy. Sorry about the poor photos the lighting was terrible. Ill get some better shots tomorrow...
